What's Up Wednesday (April 2018)

These peppers are SO GOOD! I made a batch of them Monday and I have been snacking on them everyday.

This week for dinner we are having:
Monday: quesadilla night
Tuesday: grilled chicken wraps
Wednesday: (church) so we are rockin' leftovers!
& of course, Friday is pizza!

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT: How stinkin' fast (almost) 3 years have gone! Stop growing, Ryker!

My sweet Raigen is my note leaving kid and I LOOOOOOVE finding these special treats throughout the week.

This past weekend she left our hotel a note, ha!

And today Rilyn starts swim!

I am SO glad it is Friday!
This weekend we have a tournament in Brenham so we will be in Softball mode all weekend! #myfavorite Let me go ahead and #mombrag for a bit. Last night was our LAST league game (Raigen plays on 3 teams right now so we will still be doing Softball ... forever, ha!) and we ended our season with a big ole' WIN! We only lost ONE game the entire season! And, ya'll,  my girl had THREE HOMERUNS FOR THE NIGHT! #superproud But what makes me even more proud is last night she asked me if we could pray together. #shelovestopray Melts my heart EVERY TIME she asks to pray with me. This kiddo may be good at softball (so good that she filled in on a team last night that was short on players and the ref went over to the coach and said it was so unfair that Raigen was playing and that he shouldn't even allow it! #becauseshesthatgood!) but this girl has a HUGE heart, too!!! She refuses to brag, ever, on herself because she says, "that is rude and it may m…

Rilyn's 4th grade GT Academic Fair!

This sweetgirl studied up on Walt Disney for her GT Academic Fair! We are SO proud of all the hard work she put in to this! Way-to-go, Rilyn!

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning 2 - cans of crushed tomatoes- Italian style 1 -  can of  tomato sauce (the big can) 2 cups of stock (chicken or vegetable) 1 tsp of sea 2 tsp of sugar 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper 1 cup of heavy cream Fresh basil, parmesan cheese, and croutons- garnish (optional) Listen people! I have been on the look-out for the PERFECT super easy (cause that's how I roll) dump in a pot tomato basil soup and I finally just decided to create my own. This soup was SO good! I served it with grilled cheese sandwiches, too! Enjoy!

Ryker, the Mascot!

When your Dad names your sister's softball team something ridiculous like Swatasarus.... You have to have a Mascot. Meet Ryker, our very own rambunctious Swatasarus! He was VERY excited about wearing this costume and getting to 'scare' the other team! Aren't they the cutest!?

Easter 2018

Hope you guys had a great Easter weekend.  I thought I'd (finally, haha!) give you a little peek into ours... Here is my gang this year... And because its always fun to look back at previous years, goodness how they've grown- Easter 2013

Easter 2015
Easter 2017

On Easter Eve this year my MIL made up some glow in the dark eggs for the littles  (Ryker and Callie) and they LOVED it! They would hunt and then happily hand their baskets over to us and run and hide their eyes for us to hide them again. And again... And again! LOL! I cant wait till next year when baby Kolten can hunt them, too! After that fun- we gather around the kitchen table to dye eggs. The next morning we all awoke to see what goodies we got, hunted eggs in our PJs, ate a huge breakfast, and headed to the late service at church.
